So sorry for the late post - been a bit hectic this week with a Twiddleybitz trade show here in Perth which launched our new Nero Wrought Iron range and school themed chipboard just to name a few!!!! Thanks for all those who came along :)

February Tutorial from Beck Beattie !!!

Beck created this gorgeous card and is sharing her technique with us! Thanks Beck!

Preparation

1. First cut off 3 different size Twiddleybitz presents from the frame.

2. With your 3 twiddleybitz presents, place them each in a different cuttlebug embossing folder with the bow hanging out of the top and roll them through your machine one by one.

Once this is done give them a light spray with the ‘Rain Beetle’ Colour Spray and set aside to dry.

3. Cut a piece of the Gigi ‘Strong’ paper to 19 x 22cm and fold in half to make a card 19cm x 11cm, then a cut a piece 13cm x 5cm and a piece 6cm x 1.5cm and set aside.

4. Cut a strip of the Gigi ‘Sassy‘ paper which is 19cm long x 1 inch thick

5. Cut out a scalloped 8cm diameter circle of the Gigi ‘Strong’ paper (I have used the scalloped circle sizzix die for mine) and a 7 diameter circle out of the Gigi ‘Witty’ paper, with one of the circles as the centre of it.

6. Ink the edges of all of the pieces of the pieces of paper with distressing ink.

7. Cut a piece of black grosgrain ribbon 22cm long and place double sided tape right along it. Cut a second piece that is 13cm long with angled edges.

8. Now that your presents are dry ink over the top of them with StazOn black ink to give a distressed effect and show up the embossed pattern a little more.

9. Stamp your message on the small strip of ‘strong’ paper with black StazOn as well.

Assembly

1. Place double sided tape behind the sides shown in the above picture to the 13cm x 5cm piece of ‘strong’ paper and stick it down aligning the bottom right hand corner with the bottom right hand corner of the card.

2. Stick the scalloped circle to the strip of paper 1cm from the left edge Place the small piece of ribbon at an angle (as is positioned in the finished card) on top of the strip of ‘sassy’ paper and then stick the black ribbon with the double sided tape along it, allowing the edges to fold behind. Then tie the knot in the small piece of ribbon.

3. With double sided tape stick this down on the card hiding the top and left side of the piece of ‘strong’ paper you stuck to the bottom right hand corner.

4. Place a glue dot on top of the bottom right and corner and now fold this back towards the strip of ‘sassy’ paper. You can also use some glue dots to adhere the pieces of ribbon so that they sit correctly on the card.

5. Using double sided tape, adhere the 7 diameter circle a little off centre to the scalloped circle.

6. Lastly, using some foam dots, adhere the presents to the circle and then the strip with your card’s message on it on the top of the presents using some craft glue.

After two fantastic years, I have to announce my retirement from the Twiddleybitz design team. I have been given the opportunity of a "crafter's" lifetime to work with the editorial team at Scrapbooking Memories. Most of you know how passionate I am about this craft and how passionate I have been about working with Twiddleybitz, I will really miss Nicole & Andrew and I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for the faith and trust they have had in me, but I know I have two very special friends in them both. I would also like to thank the fabulous design team girls for all their support and effort, I will miss working with you all but I know that I have made some great friends in you all too and I wish each and everyone one of you the best for the future.

Jenni Jones - Jan mid month guest designer...

We loved this quick and easy layout that Jenni did for Twiddleybitz... here are her instructions so you too can re-create it!

1 - Take a full sheet of black bazzill for the background foundation for the layout.

2 - Using the kennel paper trim a ½ an inch from the top and one side, so that when it is placed on the bazzill it will leave a small border all the way around. Adhere it to the black bazzill with either glue or double sided tape.

3 - Cut another piece of black bazzill 10 inches square.

4 - Cut the puppy paper ¼ of an inch smaller than the bazzill……so it will be 9 ¾ inches.

5 - Adhere this in the centre of the black bazzill leaving a tiny border all the way around.

6 - For the photo mats I have made the red one slightly larger than the photo, then the black one slightly larger than the red one. Stick them together and mount your photo on top.

7 - Using mounting tape or dots, pop the photo and mats up.

8 - For my twiddley bitz scrolls, I inked them all black and left them to dry.

9 - I then put a good coating of dimensional magic over the entire area of all 4 scrolls.

10 - I let them dry overnight before sticking them to my layout with a small amount of dimensional magic.

11 - I then added red bling to the centre of each scroll and in the centre of the little hearts at the end of the scrolls.

12 - I have then added a couple of stickers that enhanced the page without making it look too busy.

This is a quick and easy page using straight lines and bold colors.

Here is a gorgeous card with instructions that Tracy whipped up for our FIRST tutorial for 2010... hope you love it as much as we do!
Dragonfly "thinking of you" card

Materials...
2 Twiddleybitz Dragonflies
Embossing Powders
Black Paint
Dimensional Magic
Black Micro Beads
White Cardstock
Assorted Patterned Papers
Boarder Punches
Black Ink
Small Alpha Letter Stickers

* Paint both the Twiddleybitz dragonflies with black paint and allow to dry.
* On the wings only stamps the embossing pad and then sprinkle with dark blue, green & light blue embossing powders and heat set.
* Working with one of the dragonflies, carefully bend the wings upwards.
* Stick the bodies of the two dragonflies together (the one with the bend wings on top) using a strong wet adhesive.
* Add Dimensional Magic to the painted body part and sprinkle with black micro beads (if you don't have black micro beads you can use glitter) or you can just use Dimensional Magic.
* Add two seed beads for eyes.

To make the card...
**NOTE** If you are inking, please do so after cutting each piece.
* Cut a piece of white cardstock 6" x 8" and fold in half length ways.
* Use the border punch and punch along one of the long edges, you may need to trim the back straight edge to fit in with the border punched edge.
* Cut a piece of PP

5 ¾” x 3 ¾” punch a different border along the lower edge and adhere to the card base. You made need to trim the long straight edge to fit the card.
* Cut a strip of PP 5 ¾” x 1 ¾” and adhere approx. 1" up from the lower edge.
* Cut a piece of white cardstock 3" x 2"
* Cut a piece of lightly PP slightly smaller than the 3" x 2" piece of white cardstock and adhere to this white cardstock.
* Adhere this to the lower right side of the card base.
* Place the Dragonfly onto this and adhere into place.
* Place your alpha stickers sentiment on the left hand side in the PP strip.

Your card is now complete

Materials

Twiddleybitz bag of Love

Basic Grey Wisteria 'Tea Lights', 'French Topiary', 'Violet' and 'Fountain'

Pink Paislee Vintage Moon 'Full Moon'

Cuttlebug Embossing Folders 'Swiss dots', 'D'vine Swirls' and 'Textile Texture'

Stampin Up! Short and Sweet Stamp, Pale Plum, Perfect Plum and Bashful Blue Ink

White String

To start the card you will need a card base 6” x 12”. Fold and score this in half

Now cut a 5” Circle in card or patterned paper and adhere to the centre of the card

Choose 5-6 of the Twiddleybitz Bags of love hearts.

Cover some with Patterned Paper and emboss the others with a Cuttlebug embossing folders then ink them

Arrange the hearts in a random pattern across the circle on you card and then glue them to your card.

Now tie some bows with thin twine/string and attach to the hearts with glue leave to dry then attach the end of the string to the top of the card and clamp to dry with reverse tweezers

To finish of your card add a sentiment to the bottom of the card you can use a rub ons, stamps, alphas or be bold and hand write it in your favourite colour..........

How cute is this little card, just perfect for Christmas!!! Our very talented team member Louise has created this little tutorial so that you can recreate it yourself!

Supplies:

Twiddleybitz Santa Key

Shimmers spray in colour of your choice

Kindy Glitz in red, black and iridescent

Rasberry Christmas papers

Rasberry Pearls

Rasberry Christmas rubons

Bazzill Swiss Dots cardstock

Dimensional Magic

Dimensional paint

Black marker pen

Template

1. Cut a piece of the bazzill swiss dots card to size and fold in half.

2. Cut the end off the Twiddleybitz Santa Key and round off the edge to form an ornament shape.

3. Spray with shimmers spray, decorate with pearls and kindy glitz and leave to dry. When dry cover with a coat of dimensional magic and leave again to dry.

4. Cut a piece of Christmas paper the same width as the card and trace a shape design on the top and bottom edge using a template. Cut out and line the edge with the marker pen. Adhere to the centre of the card front.

5. Cut a strip from the same paper and attach with foam tape horizontally in the centre of the card.

6. Rub a design onto a spare piece of the bazzill cardstock, trim to size and mount on foam tape to the right hand side of the card. Using a thicker foam tape, mount the dried ornament on top of both the strip and the rubon.

7. Finish the design with dots of dimensional paint, using the bazzill dots as the guides of where to place them.

And there you have it!

November Mid-Month Guest Designer Rosalie Packham

Hi and please welcome our guest dt girl for November - Rosalie Packham. Rosalie has created this gorgeous shadow box with instructions... we hope you like it as much as we did!
Project 3: Off the Page–Shadow Box
Placing ripped tissue onto the chipboard with white glue
and then painted over is my technique on chipboard.
Materials List
Twiddleybitz Shadow Box Wave
Twiddleybitz Mirror Shapes Butterflies pack of 4
Twiddleybitz Bag of Dragonflies Pack of 3
Making Memories Paints – Speciality Glaze Sky and Emerald
Making Memories Paper flowers
Kaiser Flowers, Rhinestones and Glass Brads
Dimensional Magic
Pritt and White Glue

Step 1: Put the shadow box together as per instructions except
for the backing board.
Step 2: Paint the backing board and inside of shadow box .

Step 3 On the front of the shadow box rip up bits of tissue and
randomly glue down using the white glue.

Step 4: When dry, paint over the tissue lumps and all other
parts of shadow box. Then dab glitter paint all over.

Step 5: Using backing board as a template cut out a piece of
patterned paper and glue onto the backing board.(Optional)
Step 6: Complete assembling Shadow box.
Step 7: Attach Twiddleybitz glass butterflies to inside of shadow
box with Pritt and foam mounted tape to add height.
Step 8: Choose a portrait photo 5x7 and cut out around the person
and attach to bottom of shadow box with glue.
Step 9: Choose your flowers using colours that compliment picture
and attach a large glass brad in the middle of each.
Step 10: Attach Flowers, three in middle left corner and three in
top right corner.
Step 11 Paint dragon flies using one colour for the wings and the
other for the body. When dry attach two rhinestones for eyes and
cover all in dimensional Magic. Attach to shadow box near flowers
with Pritt. Stick in 2 small butterflies amongst flowers.

A tutorial and a farewell....

Hi everyone, here is a tutorial for a gorgeous card from Tracey Holdyk...due to personal circumstances Tracey has resigned from our Design Team...we would like to thank her for all her hard work over the past couple of years and all of her gorgeous creations. "You are the Best" greeting card. Hope you enjoy this little project that I have put together for you. Twiddleybitz chipboard is quite thick and so this technique is just perfect. Did you know that you can pull aways layers from your chipboard to create several shapes from the one piece. Its a great way to get more for your money. The technique is not hard but it is a little fiddly. After the first few you get the handle on it and its quite fun. Enjoy and can't wait to here what you thought.

Materials
Kraft card
Pattern paper (I used Basic Grey)
white cotton material
Twiddleybitz chipboard flowers from the Home Sweet Home kit
white paint
sanding tools
craft glue
buttons
Sewing machine/hand stitching.
Rub-on greeting or stamp

Instructions
Step one - cut kraft cardstock 15cm x 21cm and fold in half to make the base of your card.

Step two - cut pattern paper 10.5cm x 14.5cm, distress the edges and then using a sewing maching stitch to the front of your card. Don't worry if you don't have a sewing machine, just simply had some hand stitching.

Step three - cut two pieces of white cotton material approx 11cm x 2cm, fray the edges and sew to the front of your card.

Step four - Grab your chipboard flower and using your fingernail or tip of your craft knife pull the top layer of chipboard off (approx 1-2mm down). Continue doing this until you have about four flowers. Twiddleybitz chipboard is ideal for this technique because it is made up of several layers. It is also a great way to get more out of your chipboard.

Step five - The three flowers with the tail, you can still do the same technique however you are just pulling the top layer of petals up to give dimension.

Step six - Once all you flowers have been pulled apart, paint them with white paint. don't worry too much about neatness as we are going to rough them up a bit anyway.

Step seven - Using your sanding tools, lightly sand back some of the paint from your chipboard giving a shabby chic look.

Step eight - one all you pieces are dried, attach them to the front of the card.

Step nine - add some buttons to the centre of you flowers if you like. Maybe glitter? what ever your heart desires.

Step ten - Add your sentiment. I used a rub-on but you could have easily stamped a sentiment instead.

Congratulations on finishing your beautiful card.

October Guest Designer - Jen Burns

We would like to welcome this month's Guest Designer Jen Burns ... Jen has done this gorgeous layout "Adore" with instructions. Enjoy!!!

1. I started with 7 gypsies Flocked Market paper "Tobar" as my base and chose two different Bazzil cardstock to match. I have distressed these edges with a distressing tool and ink.

2. I have used the Twiddleybitz loose alphabet to spell the word "ADORE" and I have coloured these with Lumier paintsand also put them through the Cuttlebug, then inked the edges with Black ink and I then applied some Rub N Buff over the raised areas.

3. I have sprayed the Twiddleybitz heart with Glimmer Mist.

4. To add some more texture to the heart I have embossed a small stmap over the pattern randomly with silver embossing powder.

5. I then added black felt behind the heart to make the intricate pattern stand out against the paper.

6. To add a finishing touch I used small crystals to enhance the swirls in the pattern.

7. I love the two piece Tulip Vine and have coloured the tulips the same colour as my Adore word...on the leaves on the top section I have used a dark green ink and the bottom section a lighter green ink for contrast.

8. I have then glued the two pieces together using the stem and leaves. The flowers I have added dimension by bending up the top flower and using Liquid Scrap Dots to keep the shape of the tulips. I have brushed a little Tim Holtz distress stickles over the top flower as well to add another colour.

9. I have then finished off my layout using some flowers that I had at home with a nail head in the centre - I have brushed some Irridescent Pearl over them to blend a little. The felt ribbon is threaded through a ribbon holder embellishment. The pin I have decorated with some ribbon and a Fleur De Lis charm.

I love this photo of my Mum and Dad taken at my cousin's wedding, My mum and dad have been married for 43 years and still "adore" each other as much today as they did when they met...(just don't ask them to say so LOL!).

The many faces of Jake

Ingredients:

Tweenybitz frame

12 x 12 sheet cardstock

Black Tulip Colour Spray

Various photos – cropped to 2.5 cm squares

Patterned paper (Basic Grey Boxer range)

Large Owl from the Owl Set

Copic markers to colour the owl (Tombows, Marvys or acrylic paint will work too)

Variety of alphas for the title

Scrap of hessian or other fabric

Sewing machine (optional)

White gel pen (optional)

Step 1

Place the Tweeny Squares frame off-centre onto the cardstock, on a slight angle. Spray with Colour Spray, having shaken the bottle well. Make sure the frame sits flat on the cardstock or the colour will run underneath. Holding the spray bottle further away produces a fine mist, and closer to the page produces larger droplets. Spray until you are happy with the coverage.

Step 2

Gently remove the frame from the page, place it on newspaper, and spray with Colour Spray until it’s completely covered. When it’s completely dry, adhere the photos and patterned paper to the back of the frame.

Step 3

Colour the owl using Copic markers, and glue some white paper behind his eyes.

Step 4

Adhere a strip of hessian or fabric to the side of the cardstock, and adhere the completed frame on top. Glue the owl to the frame on the right hand side.

Step 5

Use your alphas to complete your title.

Step 6

This is optional – use your sewing machine to run a stitch around the layout as a border. I did a little zig zag near the hessian strip.

Step 7

I found that one word in my title didn’t stand out enough, so I added a row of dots through the letters to highlight them.

And there you have one quick layout!

A year in Review....

Well as you know, we are in the process of choosing our design team for the next term and in the meantime we thought we might take a look at the year in review with past design team work, I have asked the girls to send me their favourite project using just one Twiddleybitz product!!! Today's dt review is from Leonie Sells (WA) and here is her project using our Twiddleybitz Acrylic & chipboard Butterfly Album which are the same size! (codes: BK001A and BK001)... Leonie told me that this is her favourite project because "they are so pretty and make such an eyecatching display. They are also pretty quick and easy to do and a really great way to use up all those extra embellishments and rub ons that are lying around. On this project she has base coated the chipboard pieces with pink and white acrylic paint, then added rhinestones, layered flowers, rub ons and various ribbons. We think the end result speaks for itself! Thanks so much for sharing YOUR favourite project with us Leonie!

A Retreat and lots of Twiddleybitz...

Recently I was lucky enough to go over to Perth and help out the Twiddleybitz gang at the Perth craft show in Claremont. I also got to go on a retreat with Nic and Mel for Just Scrapbooking Store... we headed down to beautiful Serpentine and the retreat was a blast... We were really happy to see that there were lots of ladies using the Twiddleybitz products on their projects and here are just a few photos of them! Thanks to the ladies for giving us permission to use them on our blog!

Friendship butterfly canvas

Hot off the craft table!

"Friendship gives you wings to fly"

8x8 inch canvas turned into a shadow box with ribbon hanger.
You may recognize the illustration from my etsy shop - which I'm selling the rights to at the moment.
This canvas is a little treasure trove- FULL of flowers rhinestones, rub ons AND of course twiddleybitz butterflies.
I've used white ink on them- then kindy glitz'd them with crystallina.
All of the surfaces are decorated- bar the back! all sides are full full full of flowers- I am tempted to keep this for myself!
It has lovely layers with the rub ons and is sealed with a clear acrylic face- as i hate dusting!
there's another one thats drying at the moment, which I've used the large mirrored butterfly on- so I'll pop in on the blog when its done.

Twiddleybitz chip in more lunch bag albums!

Well I'm almost at the bottom of my twiddleybitz stash- have been saving it for some special projects.
And here they are!!
With the arrival of some new papers I've done a few more lunch bag albums.
Here's a few examples of how I've used them throughout the books.
There's been a lot of inking and dimensional magicing and i've really enjoyed adding rhinestones and pearls over the top of them too.

THAT'S MY BOY

At the moment I'm loving the turquoise blues around and circles - so decided to put them together for this L/O

Using the CIRCLES BORDER from Twiddleybitz I first inked it in blue then using the circles out of the BF Retro Squares set I stamped in black all over the chiboard border.
I cut a thin circle in black followed by two 6" circles from white cardstock and blue cardstock, to make the "flower" punch out some 2" circles and cut them in half and tuck under the white circle
I then "hand stitched" with a black pen around the petals and inner.
For the title, "that's" and "boy" I stamped onto blue cardstock using black ink and cut out and mounted and the "my" I stamped straight onto the white cardstock in blue ink.
I made my own journaling block by using two exclamation stamps

and lastly I used this gorgeous little "frill" stamp,to go around the edge of the 12" x 12" and the inner of the blue circle

I don't do as many layouts anymore, as I mentioned in a previous post I'm more a mini book kinda gal.
But I had this photo and it was just crying out to be used on a layout.

I used the FERN SCROLL BORDER I inked it using the ColorBox Chalk ink pad in Creamy Brown as I still wanted it to look chipboardy but not bare....
I also stamped little flowers onto it and placed a little bead in the centre of the flowers
The flowers at the bootom of the picture were stamped onto plain and patterned cardstock and cut out and then mounted one over the other.

Sherry Mendoza flew over from Sydney to teach and do make and takes which were extremely popular as were the stunning designs made by the Twiddleybitz Design team girls - thanks ladies - the comments from customers were awesome - they loved them all!!!

BIRTHDAYS BOOK

I am probably THE most forgetful person in the world... and BIRTDAYS for me are a nightmare I always glance at the calendar just when it's too late. So to help myself I've made a BIRTHDAYS BOOK, This is a Flip Top Desk Calendar (K & Co used to do them)
I chose my two favourite colours PINK and BROWN and the AUSSIE FLORA AND FAUNA albeit back to front !!!

This time I painted the Flourish in Pink and then put a clear ink pad on it and covered it in UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Powder) for anyone who didn't know! heated it and then whilst it's still hot placed another layer of UTEE on and did this three times, this gives it an enamel look. Now, I must ADMIT at this point I made a MISTAKE......I burnt it!!! too much chatting and not enough watching, so a word of warning there, so with big yellow burn mark in place I was left with no alternative but to cover it in, yes, you've guessed it Glamour Dust. It looks absolutely beautiful and if I hadn't said anything you wouldn't have known any difference.
I promise my next post will NOT have ANY Glamour Dust on it....PROMISE

Home sweet home canvas

This is the other "secret" project.
The challenge to create a canvas using the home sweet home kit,a canvas and papers supplied from "crate paper".
these were kinda funky 70's a bit out of the norm for what I'de usually use!
I didnt want to do just a straight canvas and flipped it over to use it as a shadow box. The pices of the chip I then layered for a 3 d look.
This is quite a versatile kit!

This is a project I did for the girls whilst this gorgeous new set was still a 'secret'.
This is the 12 x12 with K & company papers and a ton of glitz!
I was thinking along the lines of a soft girly layout which might look cute as a front page on an album without photo's.

Old Metal Bird Cage

Ok, here is the last of the work I have done recently for the Twiddleybitz DT assignment. It was using the new birdcages which are just SO cute!! I wanted to give it a bit of a vintage feel in creating this one, and therefore embossed it to give it an aged metal look. This was a really fun project, and truly something different!

The owl has been sprayed twice with colour sprays. First it was sprayed with a base colour, then once dry (you can use a heat gun to do this) I sprayed with just one pump over the top from a greater distance with a contrasting colour to get a bit of a speckled look.

'Home Sweet Home' Shadow box

Today's post is of the Twiddleybitz Shadow box that I did as part of this recent assignment. I loved incorporating the the 'Home Sweet Home' pack which included the house tree, wording and embellishments into this project. I can't wait to get it back and hang in proudly at home!

I have incorporated some different products on this one including some beautiful Crystals in the hanging owl charm. This one is a must to check out in real life as it is hard to show it all in the photos. So you will have to get yourself down to the craft show in Perth and future shows around the country to see this one!

12x12" MEMORIAL layout

Just thought I'de share with you a custom made order I did for a lovely lady,
a "memorial" album about her dying mum.
There were 14 pages of 12x12's in all and I was so happy to have found the perfect embellishments in my Twiddleybitz goodies box.
The theme was soft florals with a touch of gold,
so I versacolour inked the chip then added a few pearls and
a touch of kindy glitz to match the K & company glittered flower stickers.
Thats the lovely things about the Twiddleybitz range- I've found it so adaptable to every theme!

A fairy tale come true

As promised here is another Layout I have done for Twiddleybitz recently. They will be available to see in real life this weekend at the Perth craft show. Drop by, say hi and check out the new products. I sadly won't be there, just a bit far to travel from Melbourne.

Again I have had some fun with colour sprays even using them to colour white flowers to match the layout. Absolutely love these little filigree pieces you can use them in so many different ways...

Two cute little cards

Here are the cards I did as part of my assignment. These were made using once again some cute Twiddleybitz pieces and 'Green Stack' paper which can be purchased at your local Big W store. It is my favourite for making cards at the moment, I just love the cute little pictures on them.

The owl was simply inked with 'Frayed Burlap' distressing ink (my favourite!!) and the dragonfly was sprayed with colour spray. They were relatively quick and easy to make but really cute I think.

This latest layout was done as part of my recent Twiddleybitz assignment. I really love this latest release of products and below I had some fun with them....

The hearts have been covered with paper and one with Twiddleybitz coloursprays. The green piece has been covered with metallic rub-on and then coated with glossy accents. It was actually covered with gold metallic rub-on but somehow reacted and become green which I liked even better! The gold pieces underneath are coated with colourspray.

Wow the new mini chips that are coming out are really fun!!

They can make a simple card really special and make a card really quick to do too!

I've versacolour inked them- stamped on them,embossed them, and even put rub ons on them.

GRADUATED FLIP BOOK

Hi all, been busy making lots of samples for Crafty Notions and now I can blog them Yay!! Well one at a time anyway.

I made this little graduated flip book from chipboard, and when I say little I mean it's only 3" high, so I had think about this one.... I wanted to use the FANCY FLOWERS (3 pack) but they were too high, so......I chopped it in half and joined it to the side, inked it in black Staz-On and covered it in Glamour Dust...as you do!!!

Seeing as there was a few flowers going on here is seemed obvious to put in one of the butterflys (already in black).
It's now ready to add all the photos and makes a great little gift.

DT Challenge 'So Cute'

Here is my take on the current Twiddleybitz challenge. I really enjoyed incorporating Tracey's challenge into a layout I wanted to do of my little man. The Twiddleybitz arrow I used is really good for boy layouts, and I will be using a heap of these in future I think. There are a few different shapes of these which is GREAT!

Rather than incorporating my material and stitching together I decided do the stitching by hand on the paper and incorporate a piece of material that I have coloured using ink rubbed on it under the star. The piece I have used for the journaling was a page out of the Twiddley Bitz mini star album. One of these albums can go a long way as a journaling tag...

Well I hope you have enjoyed my take on the challenge and it helps to inspire you to get your entries in. Remember there are some great tweenybitz pieces up for grabs with this challenge which are Twiddleybitz's brand new release! PHOTOSHOOT canvas

Got a little step-by-step for ya! Super easy, but super fun and a little messy, too!

My Supplies:

stretched canvas

photo/patterned paper (both optional)

sand paper & edge scraper

ink pad

Twiddleybitz word

Twiddlebitz silouettes

Twiddlebitz Colour Spray

glitter or glitter glue

stamps

other embellishments (stickers, transparencies, flowers)

Step 1:

Sand edges, mat photo, treat mat with edge scraper and ink.

Step 2:

Treat Twiddleybitz WORD chipboard with ink and Glimmer Mist. I highly recommend trying Twiddleybitz's new Colour Sprays - they just weren't here yet when I did this project!

Step 3:

Use Twiddleybitz Silhouettes to create a mask. Hold shape over canvas, spray Colour Spray through mask and onto canvas. Blot dry if necessary. Ink edges of canvas.

Step 4:

Stamp on canvas. Chipboard shapes and silhouettes can be used to stamp on canvas and thick paper, I just didn't do it on this project.

Step 5:

Adhere other embellishments. Glue dots and brads poked through both work well on canvas.

Step 6:

Add your finishing touches, layer lots of chipboard shapes and silouettes and show the world your new Twiddleybitz treasure!

Have fun with Twiddleybitz in so many ways on your next canvas!

Mirror Frame

Would have to say these little frames are great. I've done a similar one earlier in the year.

Great for adding little trinkets to etc. I love putting beach photos in and playing with sand and shells etc to get that beachy feel about the frame. Otherwise whats the point in using the beach photo. Though the twiddley seahorses help too!

Greeting Card Giftset

hello everyone, as promised here is my "Happy Birthday" Greeting Card Giftset using one of my favourite chipboard pieces from Twiddleybitz.

Going along with my theme from yesterday I stamped the flower using the chipboard piece on a small piece of ripped dictionary paper and attached it to a white tag then sewed around the tag.

On the back to hold th cover together I added some buttons. I think they finish it off just ever so nicely

All the cards look the same which gives a unified look. I just love all of those white buttons, each one slightly different which hads to the look.

On the inside of each card I added an insert and stamped the chipboard piece again before added a stamped sentiment.

I hope you liked this project as much as I did. I love making giftsets like these because they are fun to make but also make great inexpensive presents.

Stamping Twiddlebitz style

Hi everyone just wanted to share this project that I did yesterday. I have had in my head for some time to use the chipboard pieces as stamps. Yesterday was so cold here in Perth it was a good day to sit and play, and play I did. I used the butterfly as a stamp.

I used a foam paint brush to paint my butterfly and then stamped the image onto dictionary paper (which is my favourite thing at the moment), added a bit of stitching, a button or two, a quote and then repainted the butterfly and added that as well.

I was actually quite pleased how it turned out see as it was just a practice run. And as I was so pleased I did another project that I will share with you tomorrow.

Good evening everyone - o.k I have lots to share with you all, a few projects where done a while ago , you may have seen some published in SM , and some are new!

I'd like to star with a recent shaped Page I created - I have used the Basic Fancy Corners and Swirl Scrolls 2 Pack I have added some glitter to the chippee ( although it's hard to see, will need a close up to add in)

I have this cute ATC and used and sweet chippee flower from the FANCY FLOWERS MINI PACK...added a brad in the centre and some pattern paper behind the petals paper behind.

Here is another shaped page , here I have used gorgeous chipboard butterflies from the BUTTERFLIES ASSORTED PACK

and for a close up of the butterfly.. I painted it black and simply added pattern paper behind the chipboard for this fantastic effect.
Now here are some projects using Twiddleybitz Mirrors - you may have seen these before!!! You will find step by Step Instructions on how to alter your mirrors in last months Copy of Scrapbooking Memories.

I have added alcohol ink to these mirrors - Mini Mirror Frame and Christmas Tree's

For this project I used Leaves Pack of 4 and Photoshoot Chipboard Word

and a close up I've used a zig metallic writer with some spray adhesive and glitter.

I have used the Twiddleybitz Butterfly Mirrors - for this project these really are Divine , my very favourite..

To alter these butterflies I have used a krylon gold leafing pen and some stazon ink.

Another product I just love is the Twiddleybitz clear albums - I was fortunate enough to be given one of these to create with..

and also a card - I have used the Shooting stars chipboard and covered it in glitter..to add to this card..

Pretty Pretty Pretty

Hi everyone,
I have been a little out of action over the last month with the arrival of my first child Austin Mackenzie. I have however found SOME time to do a little scrapping and I thought I would share with you some cards I have recently made using some different twiddleybts pieces I received in my goodie box that arrived just before Austin was born.

I love these pieces because they can made some relatively simple cards look really special...I made this card using some really nice twiddleybits pieces. The twiddleybits piece on the back has been painted with making memories white paint then covered in glue to ahere some white flocking. I have then glued the mirror butterfly on the top. I just love these mirror pieces... definitely one of my fav's!!

This second card has some raised cut out paper using some foam dots and a pretty twiddleybits butterly that has been sprayed with coloursprays. The coloursprays make it SO quick and easy to finish these cardboard pieces!

JUST US...

Hi Everyone,
Well I waited and waited and then.... my wait was OVER.... along came our little postie with a rather large "Pizza" box in his hand... My NEW TWIDDLEYBITZ goodies had arrived, so after doing the "Happy Clap" I had a little peek inside and the first thing I saw was the SHADOW BOX and I knew I wanted to use this straight away.
Very rarely do Ricky and myself get a picci of us together and this was no exception, we were actually in a group of 7, so trimmer in hand I chopped the others off and kept "us"

This was such a quick and easy little project to make, I just painted all the pieces in metallic pink and then stamped little black flowers around the frame, then using the TWIDDLEYBITZ GROOVE ALPHABET (love this one)! I added my title, using Ranger Liquid Pearls I filled in the flower centers and covered the first and last letters of the title and added three little "pearls" to each letter. Before putting it all together I Cropadiled three holes in the left side panel to enable me to tie ribbon on.
I also used a few of the TWIDDLEYBITZ MINI FILIGREE pieces to make a flourish and attached to the photo inside.

Sweet Cherries.

Hey there!

Here is a simple LO you could create at home with a pack of Twiddleys Cherries! This LO uses one, so you'd have one spare to use on another project too :)

To cover the cherry I used Twiddleybitz colour spray and Glimmer mist, so you get a crisp line between the cherries and the stalk I drew around them on scrap card and cut out a piece to form a mask to divde the cherries and stalk so that the colour mix of the sprays would be minimal. I sprayed the stalk and leaves first as they were a darker colour (I used 'scarab bettle'). I sprayed a couple of coats as the chipboard is quiet porous and it soaks up the colour quickly. If you are finding that it is taking a while to dry, you can speed it up with a few seconds under a heat tool. It is best to spray the cherries once the stalk and leaves are completely dry, this also minimises the mix if the two colours. I the used my mask on the opposite side and masked off the leaves and sprayed the cherries a pink colour (glimmer mist 'bubble-gum'). Again I used a few coats to ensure an even coverage. I then set aside to dry.

This LO is using a large piece of patterned 12" x 12" (preferably with matching 'cherry' colours), a 7" x 8" (roughly) cardstock piece and a 12" x 2" strip of coordinating patterned paper. I used a 6" x 4" photograph, although it could easily be adapted to a larger/smaller size.
Firstly I adhered the cardstock piece off centre towards the left side, leaving a decent boarder of the base patterned paper showing, I then adhered the strip along the bottom of this too. I attached my photograph on the bottom right side and doodles little curly loops at the top and bottom of the cardstock. I added my title and then journalled in the whole space of the remaining cardstock, it was a big story!

I lastly adhered my cherries, I used a couple of glue dots but there are many adhesives that would've worked just as well.

How - To: Twiddleybitz Notebook

Hey guys! I was playing around with one of the super cute Twiddleybitz mini albums and came up with a little project you can make for yourself or as a gift :)

Start with two pieces of the Twiddleybitz scalloped mini album. Cover front and back with patterned paper and ink edges.

Next cut as many pages of notebook paper that you would like 5x3 inches. Punch holes at the top of the notebook paper matching up with the holes of the album pages. I like to use a clip to hold it all together so everything matches up perfectly.

Connect your front cover, notebook paper and back cover together with jump rings or ribbon. I like to use jump rings because it makes it easier when I want to add more paper later.

Inside the front cover glue a loop of cardstock to hold your pen or pencil.

Now decorate your front cover and insert your pen or pencil. I covered Twiddleybitz Groove Alphas, Twiddleybitz butterfly, and Twiddleybitz swirls with crackly paint and Mist to accent mine.

Twiddleybitz trade class...

This weekend I taught a TWIDDLEYBITZ trade class... which is where the store owners and/or their teachers come along and make a complete project using our products... Nicole came over for Sydney to help out, she arrived on Thursday so of course we went off the the Sydney craft and fair show at Darling Harbour, this is my second year of going to that show and I doubt I will go back again.. $16.00 entry fee for such a small show... however we did pick up some beautiful lace and ribbon products...
Our Twiddleybitz class was held on Saturday morning in West Pennant Hills it was a cold morning and I appreciate everyone who got up and came along I know that I didn't want to get out of bed LOL... thanks girls I hope you all enjoyed the class... A HUGE thanks to Lorraine Bate for her wonderful help and sense of humour and a big thank you also to our DT member Ellen Woodbridge who came along to help out and do the class with us.
We also did the launch of some of our new products .. stay tuned for some samples of them ... absolutely fabulous!!!

I just wanted to share this little "get well" card that I made last night. Its using the lovely Twiddleybitz, buttons, gauze, old Making Memories paper and lost of hand stitching. I am really loving these nutural tones at the moment and I am loving the gauze thing.

Scallop chipboard album

Hello everyone, hope you are all well and enjoying your week so far. Just thought I would share a little project I have been working on. Twiddleybitz game me the lovely scallop album to do something with but i thought I would do something beside turn it into an album.

I love to collect quotes and I thought this was the perfect way to show off some of my favourites.

I have made it so that I can add more pieces or take some away. I have even decorated the back ready to add embellishments and another quote if the mood takes me there.

This little project was so much fun as I just sat and played with twiddleybitz stuff and other pieces I had lying around.

Anyway, I hope you liked my little project. It hangs on the door to my craft room at the moment but I do intend moving and hanging on the wall somewhere in our house.

I have been a bit 'flat' scrapping wise these past few weeks, but Sherry has had me doing some special projects for TWBZ so that has been pushing me to be creative and I have managed to pump out 3 Lo's this weekend! Just for You gift box

Happy Monday everyone, hope you are all well and enjoying the start of the week. I just wanted to share this little project that I did using some of the goodies I got from Twiddleybitz and few weeks ago. I managed to grab this little box the other day after the flowers were emptied from it. I just knew I could something with it and here it is. I made a little gift box and added 3 gift cards. The box was already well decorated and all I had to do was cover the strip across the middle that had the brand name on it. I then decorated the strip and added a mirror butterfly, flower and a button. The three cards were just a simple. I embossed them using the cuttlebug, then inked the butterflys in black ink and attached to the cards. I then stamped a small greeting and sewed it to the card. Easy, quick and simple.

I will now put this little gift away, so that the next time I get stuck for a gift I will know exactly what to give.

Quick Twiddley Cards!

Hey everyone just a few quick cards with some of the goodies I received in my DT pack last week.

This little gift card is using the mirrored butterflies and some new little metal flower embellishments I was lucky to get.

This one was using the Fern Scroll Corner. I have a thing for cutting up some of my Twiddleybitz products as you can see here and layering them. Was in the mood also to ink everything too which is so easy to do when you're in a rush.

Another product I had to cut is the Flourish set 4 cards, it just shows you that if you can't seem to get the whole thing to work for you on the day grab your scissors and have a play. Again I've also used another embellishment that was in my DT pack which is this beaded piece that just looked like a flower to me. I only got the one and had to use it, they are just gorgeous!

Boys Corner Card Step by Step

I hope you all enjoy making this card as much as I did.

Here are the products I have used to make my card

First I Inked my Boys Corner with dye ink and put it aside to let the ink soak in for a couple of hours

I then applied Glossy Accents to the Inked Boys Corner as evenly as possible. When the corner is covered put it aside for a few hours until it is dry. I left mine overnight

TIP: Keep the tip in the glossy accents when applying this will prevent air bubbles

While the Glossy Accents are drying we can start assembling our card.

Take the grey A4 card and fold in half. It will be 14.75 x 21cms when folded

Next trim the eggplant card stock to 20x14cms and the Patterned paper to 19.5x13.5cms

I then stamped the tree on a piece White card stock 9.5x7.25cm

Now take a sponge dauber or just a small piece of sponge and ink the edges of the card and paper with grey ink.

When your Boys corner is dry you are ready to assemble the card. I have used a small of glossy accents to adhere the Boys corner to the card. It is also a very strong glue.

FAMILY lunch bag album

I've been having a clean out and found some old kits I'd made up to sell at the markets.
This kit hadn't sold and I thought I'd make it up using a heap of the new twiddley chip bitz.
Using lunch bags takes alot more paper than the 6x6 paperbag style albums as you dont get such a good cut from
the 12x12 sheet- ( I used 5 bags- 10 sides to cover!!!)
but i managed to use nearly all the offcuts my making 4x6 embossed photo matts and also title matts.
Also i stretched x1 sheet of K & company 12x12 inch patterned paper throughout the whole book.
As well as their rub on alphabet to make the front and back titles
With the Twiddleybitz chip I base coated them using a versa colour ink pad "peony" then embossed them using stamp-it rubber stamps ancient embossing gold glitter "enchanted".
I used a whole packet of kaiser craft pearls and nearly a pack of their 3 sized flowers. The burgendy ones are from the prima range in 2 tones.
I also used a fair bit of kindy glitz too.
Hoping to sell this little beauty tomorrow at the markets- fingers crossed.

Twiddleybitz carriage

Hi Girls!
Received my box of "goodies" from Twiddleybitz the other day and thought I'd share with you my
"Autumn Gold" fairy princess carriage.
First of all I base coated the carriage, doors,stand and some chip bitz with a metallic gold acrylic paint from Jo Sonja's.
Then used the 'Once upon a time' range of papers from DCWV to make photo matts and cover the whole back of the doors-
( I use sandpaper to trim off the paper on the curved bits- it leaves a really nice professional finish)
I cut a few extra fairies to jazz up the doors and added the chip bitz.
Then used some of the mirrored leaves embellishments and new flowers, added paper flowers and rhinestones.
Pulling apart some of the flowers to use as extra leaf highlights. Layering the flowers for a 3d effect.
Then out with the kindy glitz and dimensional magic for a bit of glam and shimmer!
And finally tied the doors on with co-ordinating ribbons.
Hope it gives you a few ideas.

Shadow Box..

Whilst you are all working hard on your Card challenge, I thought I'd share a project with you!

I have never made a Shadow box before so when I opened up my package from Twiddleybitz it was really exciting knowing I was trying something new - I love the 3D effect you achieve with a shadow box and I'm sure if I had a little more time ( as this was again on a short deadline for the SIA's ) I could have kept on embellishing it and adding layers upon layers, although I'm really happy with what I created,

I have used loads of Twiddleybitz chipboard, including all the scrolls, flowers and leaf trimmings , I have also used one of the gorgeous Twiddleybitz Butterfly Mirrors - Yummmmm.
and for some close ups

Other products I used to create this where Prima flowers and pebbles, Fancy Pants Transparency, Dream Street Quilted Garden Papers and lots Jewels, paint, buttons and pins! and of course a truck load of foam mounting tape...

I know we are a bit late already 1/4 of the way into 2009, but now we have our DT blog up and running we thought we should introduce who make up the Twiddleybitz team! so here are our gorgeous pics and a little blurb about all of us!

Twiddleybitz Owners - Nicole & Andrew Skender (WA, Australia) -

Twiddleybitz is now entering into their 2nd year of production.

Being in the industry for over 10years, Nicole thrived on this scrapbooking world.

After working in retail outlets and talking with the fascinating people that become addicted to this craft, she knew

that there was opening in the industry that she could fulfil with the help of a business partner.

After owning many small businesses, with Nicole’s husband’s blessing they decided to manufacture and design chipboard products for AUSTRALIANS!

With this Twiddleybitz was born.

A family built business which everyone has a role in the Twiddleybitz Factory!!!

The initial business plan was to produce locally made products that were price competitive and

Completely manufactured and created in Australia. This has been accomplished and is now growing worldwide rapidly.

The designs and ideas are created by the teamwork of Twiddleybitz – Andrew and Nicole.

They have a fantastic Design team, which allows their products to be expressed freely in all types and styles of scrapbooking.

The success of Twiddleybitz is that you are dealing direct with the designer /manufacturer and people in Australia are having their say on what we release and design.

DT Coordinator West Coast - Melanie Forbes (WA, Australia) -I began scrapbooking nearly 4 years ago after seeing some layouts in a magazine and thought “what a great way of displaying your favourite photos as well as preserving the memories for my kids and future generations of my family”. I then discovered the wonderful scrapping ladies on Essential Baby and was soon addicted to this exciting craft. I am lucky enough to not only work at Scrapbooking to Di for here in Perth but I also teach there as well as for Twiddleybitz. It was here that I met Nic – the owner of Twiddleybitz and was thrilled when she asked me to join her DT from the start. I love every moment of helping others learn and enjoy this hobby as much as I do. My inspiration comes from first and foremost my family, then new and exciting products, work by friends and magazines.

My style I would have to say is interactive – I love LO’s that invites the viewer to look closer and discover more about the photo than just the photo - whether it be through hidden journaling, mini tags, pull out tags or pockets. I must have names, dates, places and my own feelings about the event/person etc. This way I know that when family in the future look at my layouts they also know who, what, when, why and how!

DT Coordinator East Coast and International - Sherry Mendoza (NSW, Australia) - I am wife to my Air Force man with 4 gorgeous kids who all provide me with inspiration on a daily basis. I have been scrapping for over 10 years and enjoy doing all styles of papercrafting. I love being a part of the Twiddleybitz team and love the products we get to play with. I hope we can all inspire your creativity with our blog and challenges.

Ellen Woodbridge (NSW, Australia) - I live on the Central Coast, NSW. I am a mother of 2 very active boys. I love papercraft especially scrapbooking and cardmaking and have been doing both for a little over 2 years. I started out ith a Creative Memories party, since then I have gone on to the big wide world of scrapping. I enjoy trying different products and techniques. I mainly scrap 12x12 pages and like mixing it up with some OTP projects usually for gifts. I don't believe that I have a particular style. I am really guided by the photo's I am srapping and products I use for each page/project. I really like using bright colours and different types of embellishments. I really do love inking and you will find some kind of ink or stamping on most of my projects.

Leonie Sells (WA, Australia) -Hi, I am known locally as "The fairy lady" and "fairy Leonie"!
I live and work on a 1500 acre cattle farm in picturesque Busselton - the South West of Western Australia.( Near Margaret River wine country!!)
I am a qualified illustrator and graphic designer with a Ba from Curtin University.
Have worked many years in a major printing company from Designer, pre press, art administration as well as special projects manager.
I have been designing art stamp designs and scrap booking papers for Stamp It Rubber Stamp Company since the 1980’s under my business name of Unicorn Design.
I am one of their longest running artists- I am well known for my cute and quirky characters as well as my classic brush and ink elegant line designs.
I also run small arts and crafts based Fairy shop from a mobile purple fairy trailer-selling my paintings- handmade fairies- splattered fairies, dragons and unicorns at the markets and fairs.
I teach scrapbooking classes from my farm house studio and also sell my work at indoor local markets too.

Lindsey Krauss (New York, United States) - Hello, Twiddlers! My name is Lindsey and I've been a fan from afar of Twiddleybitz thanks to a good scrapper friend (Sher!). I've never been to Australia, but with products like these coming out of it, I'd sure love to one day! I'm a wife of 9 years to Doug and mommy to Matthew, 6 and McKenna, 3. I'm a gymnastics coach and a teacher at heart. When not working or with the kiddos, I'm frequenting ScrapStreet.com (for which I'm on the mag staff and creative teams), or TTT's transparency manufacturer sight (also on the dt there). My style is that I'll try anything once - and rarely do it twice the same way. I'm a simple scrapper, I love simple and easy products: paper, distressing tools and ink, chipboard shapes and titles, and a good photograph. I'm also very attracted to sketches! Thanks again to Twiddleybitz - I am just thrilled to be one of the international girls on the Twiddleybitz team that gets to play and have my hands on these awesome products and shapes, although it still sounds funny to me to be "international"!

Lisa Swift (QLD, Australia) - I am married to my childhood sweetheart Mark, we have 2 daughters, Sam & Jenna and 1 grandson, Luke. I have been scrapping for 10 years now and I don't really have a style as such. I love using black, which is probably a bit unusual. I live in Bloela and am a designer for Leisa's cards n things, where I help by contributing 12x12 pages and OTP projects. I love to scrap for the same old boring reasons as everyone else :-) so that I can leave behind a part of me and my family for the generations to come. I have ulterior motives as well, when I am scrapping, that is my time, I just zone out and loose myself in the creative process - no stress, no questions, just me relaxing!

Marion Emberson (Essex, United Kingdom) -I am married to Ricky (23 years), we have two boys Jamie and Luke (19 and 16) and a chocolate Labrador called Tyson, who's as nutty as a fruitcake, strong as an Ox and soppy as Larry!!

Ricky has his own plumbing company and Jamie works for him and it looks like Luke may follow suit - talk about keep it in the family.

I own and run full time, my scrapbook shop here in the UK called Sugar and Spice, I've had the business for 6 years now and whilst it's very demanding it's also very rewarding, I don't have much spare time to do scrapping, so I fit it in at the shop, well it seems a shame if the classroom isn't being used!!!

My boys have no interest in my shop, although they are always there when I need them and Ricky to help set up for retail shows - I do around three a year - that's enough.

Not only am I lucky enough to get to play with the yummy Twiddlybitz but I am also a retailer of the products, we love it here in the UK.

I'm partial to a cupcake or two, or three, or four!!! Ah-hem I better stop there!!! and love making deserts although I'm the first to admit that the main course is usually left to Ricky, he's a much better cook than me, I have been known to eat the odd bar of chocolate in the past...Oh alright I confess I'm a chocoholic, you got me!!

Paula (Polly) Brown (Essex, United Kingdom) - I live in Essex, UK with my two littlies and other half Kev. I love all things craft and creative but with scrapbooking and papercrafts I seem to hvae found a huge love! I work at our local papercrafts store and teach there...it keeps my heart happy! I've kept a scrapbook in some shape or form since I was about 11, I have heaps of diaries and books filled with paper! I then moved onto cardmaking in my early 20's and while buying supplies for those I discovered the wonder that is "scrapping" I still make cards although I am often a little heartbroken when I have to give them away. My style is definately "piled-on". I love trying new techniques and new products.

Rebecca (Beck) Beattie (VIC, Australia) - I am absolutely in love with scrapbooking and couldn't find much else I love to spend my time doing. I am married to my lovely husband, Andrew and we have our first baby on the way which is really exciting. I have always been into arts and crafts from a young age and love trying to incorporate different mediums and crafts into my work. I orginally got into this craft via cardmaking when a friend of mine asked me to do a class with her a few years ago. Whilst shopping for some supplies for a special card I was making for my parent's 40th wedding anniversary I realised I would love to seriously try scrapbooking and booked into a beginners class with my girlfriend, who like me had wanted to try it for years. This was late in 2009 and I have not looked back since.

Renee Dowling (QLD, Australia) - I live in Queensland with my husband, Simon and 3 children, Zac (7), Kye (5) and Elly (4) who are the soul of all my inspriation. I have always had a strong passion for art and photography, so when I was introduced to scrapbooking 3 years ago, I never looked back. Scrapping has become a part of my daily life and I count myself blessed to be part of such an amazing creative revolution. I enjoy creating single and double page layouts as well as OTP projects. I find inspiration from every angle, my style is generally simple and clean with bundled embellishments. I enjoy making use of the negative space on a page and cutting paper into various shapes to create interesting designs. However, I am always willing to go in another direction if that's where it takes me, whether it is lashing out with paints and inks or making my own handmade embellishments.

Sonia Barnett (VIC, Australia) - I am mum to 3 beautiful girls (1 in heaven, 2 on earth). I have been scrapping for about 3 years now andam loving how I have grown as a scrapper over this time, finding my "style", learning new techniques etc. My favourite subject to scrap are my children and I know the albums I continually create for them will be a wonderful legacy to them when they are older. I am also really loving photographing and scrapping the more everyday things in our lives as well, as that makes us who we are. Until recently I have been a layout scrapper (12x12) but I am finding myself delving deep into a variety of OTP projects and am loving my creations.

Sonya Thair (WA, Australia) - Hi, I'm a wife and a mother of two beautiful girls who are my inspiration. I've been scrapping for about 8 years now and I'm happy to say still learning new tricks everyday. Thats what I love about this hobby, that after so many years there's techniques new and old to learn no matter how long you've scrapped for. I love working with the Twiddleybitz products and enjoy being a member of the DT. I hope my work helps inspire you all.

Stacey Klug (Georgia, United States) - I am a "stay at home mom" to my 2 kiddos and wife to my Air Force hubby. We live wherever the military takes us and right now that just happens to be Georgia. I've been involved in some sort of crafty art all my life but only dove into scrapbooking about 3 years ago. Besides scrapping, I love to alter anything I can get my hands on. I am so excited to be a part of the Twiddleybitz family.

Tracey Holdyk (WA, Australia) - Hi, I have been scrapbooking and cardmaking for over 9 years but professionally in the last 4 years. I started out as a cardmaker and then found scrapbooking, but recently have found myself going back to cardmaking. I love being creative and playing with pretty papers and embellishments. I feel very forturnate to have a job where my everyday moments are captured and shared through a hobby that I just love. Can't get much luckier than that.

As you may be aware SIA is currently on in Sydney and Twiddleybitz are there - please pop in and say hello to Nic, Andrew and Sherry!! I am told all is going extremely well and they are having a ball!!!!

Also a HUGE big Congratulations to Tracey who took out the DT Card designer at SIA for Tomorrow's Memories - her link to her blog is at the side - stunning work!!!

So that now means we can show and tell you all the new designs and work we have been doing lately.....

Twiddleybitz DT challenge #1

Well this is very exciting!

To celebrate the launch of Twiddleybitz new product releases at SIA in a few weeks, I have been asked to set the first challenge on behalf on the Twiddleybitz Design Team.

So after a bit of fiddling with Photoshop I have come up with a sketch challenge to get the ball rolling here. I hope you like it!

This challenge set by the Twiddleybitz DT is open to both Australian and International scrappers.

Since this is the first challenge, we have decided that entries for the challenge must be completed by Sunday 5th April 2008. 8.30pm AEST.

We ask that you post a photo of your entry on your blog and leave us a comment on here with a link back to your blog.

The winner of this challenge will be decided on by the DT and will be judged on originality and creativity. Whilst it is encouraged that we see some of the fantastic Twiddleybitz products being used on your work, it is not 'compulsory' .. at this stage anyways :)

The prize for the winner of this challenge will be one of the awesome new products from our new release at SIA!

So here it is, your first Twiddleybitz DT challenge for 2009! Enjoy the challenge everyone I can't wait to see your take on my sketch and I am sure the other DT members will post their take on the sketch on their blogs too for more inspiration :)
